AuthenticID, a global leader in identity verification and fraud prevention solutions, today announced that it has been selected as winner of the “Overall Fraud Prevention Solution Provider of the Year” award in the 8th annual CyberSecurity Breakthrough Awards program conducted by CyberSecurity Breakthrough, a leading independent market intelligence organization that recognizes the top companies, technologies and products in the global information security market today.

AuthenticID was recognized as an innovating leader in delivering breakthrough identity verification and fraud prevention solutions, offering a holistic platform that fights fraud, streamlines processes, and minimizes operational expenses. AuthenticID’s core platform combines innovative products including:

  • ID Verification verifies government-issued IDs in seconds with 99% or more accuracy, using 500+ forensic checks.
  • Biometric Authenticator confirms a person’s identity using FaceMatch to match a selfie to another photo and liveness detection to ensure a person is real and present.
  • Fraud Shield and Velocity Checks, which block repeated fraudsters, allowing customers to identify, flag, and add users to a Bad Actor Watchlist using biometric and biographic data.
  • Smart ReAuth™ allows users to prove their identity with a selfie to regain access to an account, application, or a physical workplace.

The award also recognized AuthenticID for delivering innovations including:

  • Synthetic signature detection on fake or synthetic IDs via machine learning;
  • A deepfake injection attack detection solution, which uses proprietary visual, text, and behavioral algorithms to detect counterfeit and synthetic elements.

“Thank you to CyberSecurity Breakthrough for recognizing our continued commitment and efforts to provide valuable identity verification technology,” said Reed Taussig, AuthenticID CEO. “In the coming year, we’ll continue to work to combat fraud and help businesses protect their enterprise and valuable data assets by staying neck and neck with the bad actors that use increasingly sophisticated tools.”

The mission of the CyberSecurity Breakthrough Awards is to honor excellence and recognize the innovation, hard work and success in a range of information security categories. This year’s program attracted thousands of nominations from over 20 different countries throughout the world.

“AuthenticID sets the gold standard for the new world of identity-verified transactions. Fraudsters are making fewer mistakes than ever, making advanced tools and continuous innovation more important than ever before. The introduction of gen AI is helping bad actors make fake IDs more convincing than ever,” said Steve Johansson, managing director, CyberSecurity Breakthrough. “AuthenticID deserves 'Overall Fraud Prevention Solution Provider of the Year' for not just enhancing its core identity proofing solution to fight fraud, but by using the methods and tools of bad actors against them to develop new, cutting-edge solutions.”
